Addressing Disability in Local Public Health Part 1

This is first NACCHO Webinar developed to showcase the efforts of local health professionals who are working within their health departments and communities to create a shift in the way people view those with disabilities.  Two program managers of the disability demonstration sites will present their site topics, work done through out the project, and their findings in regards to viewing people with disabilities as a community.  The projects addressed in this session will be: an adaptive diabetes program, and an Able to Be Healthy guide. 

This Webinar is designed to provide participants with information to increase interest and desire to incorporate similar programs into their communities or health departments. 

Participants include local health departments, disability demonstration sites, disability technical assistance sites, and others with an interest in addressing disability in local public health.
